How We Created the Dutch Bros Creative Collective

CHALLENGE

Wanting to continue fostering a rich, people-first culture, Dutch Bros approached us to create a program that would allow barista content creators to learn the skills needed to do this work professionally and engage with the brand on a creative level.

SOLUTION

In collaboration with the Dutch Bros Creative team, we developed the Dutch Bros Creative Collective (DBCC). From over 100 enthusiastic content creator applications across the organization’s national footprint, we carefully selected 12 standout candidates to join the program. 

Our team designed everything from the DBCC playbook to comprehensive handbooks and toolkits, ensuring members had the necessary resources. The program was built around mentorship, collaboration, and themed assignments in video and photography production—all closely tied to the vibrant world of Dutch Bros. 

Our joyful Creative and Content teams also provided hands-on industry expert guidance in the realms of pre-production, production, and post-production, offering real-world insights and growth-oriented feedback, plus custom workshops tailored to the attendee’s skill-level.

RESULTS

 The program exceeded all expectations, producing:

12 DBCC program members

38 videos produced

26 unique photo shoots

23 interviews

6 mentorship workshops

Thanks to its success, the program was renewed for another year, gaining widespread recognition within the organization. With the foundation firmly in place, we handed over the reins to Dutch Bros, who are now confidently steering the program into the future.
